| Overview
of Kunming |
| Kunming, the
capital of Yunnan Province, is situated in a basin on
the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It’s the hub of Provincial
politic,: economy and culture. Kunming bears the nickname--the
“City of Eternal Spring” because of its mild weather
through year .Kunming is known for beautiful natural
landscapes and historical interest. Dian Lake, The Stone
Forest, Green Lake Park, The Minority Village, Western
Hills ,Bamboo Temple, Yuantong Temple, Golden Temple,
The Horticutural Exposition Garden are forgettable places
to visit. The local flavour foods will make you forget

Stone Forest |

The Stone Forest is in Shilin Yi Nationality Autonomous
County, which is about 120 kilometers (75 miles) from
Kunming and requires only a two-hour drive. It covers
an area of 400 quare kilometers (96,000 acres) The Stone
Forest is one of the most important attractions of Yunnan.The
magnificent, strange and steep landscape creates countless
labyrinthine vistas, including:
Major Stone Forest, Minor Stone Forest and Naigu Stone
Forest, all of which feature stones in various formations.

On the beautiful wooded Yu'an Mountain, only twelve
kilometers (seven miles) northwest of Kunming, is the
famous Buddhist Qiongzhu Temple. The temple is named
of the bamboo forest that surround it and the 500 arhats
statues in the main hall of Buddha is regarded as "a
pearl in the treasure house of oriental sculpture"
because of its vivid sculptures of human characteristics.
You could take Bus No.78 to change Bus No.26 or 83
to the final station(Huangtupo), then change mini-bus
to it .

| Yuantong
Temple |

Yuan tong Temple is at the foot of Yuantong Hill in
the northern part of Kunming. With a history of more
than 1,200 years, Yuantong Temple is the grandest as
well as the most important Buddhist temple in Yunnan
Province. Temple's unique mixed architectural style
of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
Yuantong Temple plays a very important role in history
and in the modern world.
You could take Bus No.78 to the Red Crossing Hospital,then
walk about 200 meters to there.

Hills |

| Western
Hills, which are 15 kilometers (nine miles) from Kunming.
It stretches along more than 40 kilometers (25 miles)
of Dianchi Lake and rise to an altitude of 2,350 meters
(7,710 feet). The local people gave the Western Hills
the nickname, Sleeping Beauty Hills.The panoramic views
are unforgettably beautiful and you will certainly want
to bring your camera to capture these glorious scenes.
Dragon Gate is the steepest spot in the Western Hills
and well worth climbing up the winding old stone stairs
because the view is spectacular. When standing at Dragon
Gate and seeing the splendid views, you cannot but feel
awe-inspired by the vision, dedication, and reverence
for nature and the people who created this walkway.

The
Yunnan Minority Village is located on the lakeshore
of Dianchi Lake --the Bringt Pearl on the Plateau in
the south of Kunming and occupies 1250 mu (about 83
hectares).It's main gate faces the historical and cultural
city--Kunming, to the back of it lies Dianchi Lake ,with
the Kunming Western Hills Scenic Spot standing opposite,
to the right of it exists the largest and best nationalities
museum ,"the Yunnn Nationality Museum”，to the left
front is an area for the convalescent homes .
In the Yunnan Minority Village 25 villages are meant
to the built for each of the 25 ethnic minorities in
Yunnan ,now they are still under construction. In the
Nationality Song and Dance Hall you can watch the song
and dance performances given by minorities, At the Plaza
of Unity of Nationalities, in fact it is something like
an arena theatre, you can watch not only the song and
dance performances of the minorities, quite different
from those you watch in the Nationality Song and Dance
Hall, but also the Asian Elephants Show In the evening
the Water-Screen Film will surely make you forget to
go back..
You could take Bus No.63 from the left of the hotel
to the final station, then change Bus No.44 to the Minority
Village. |

square is located in the center of Kunming .There are
many pubs ,cafés and restaurants which you could enjoy

You could take Bus No.63 on the left of the hotel
to Desheng Bridge ,then walk ahead about 500 meters
along Jingbi Street.

Kundu is on the intersection
of Guofang Road and Xinwen Road. It’s very flourishing
at night.
Pubs,teahouses,disco,KTV,dressing–up shops,barbecue
restaurants are sitting in the area. People are sharing
their happy time after work.. It’s a characteristics
part of Kunming.
You could take a taxi to go there ,it takes you about
15 yuan.

ShangYi Flower Market is the largest flowers market
in the city. Hundreds of flowers are selling from early
morning until afternoon. It’s a good place to appreciate
beautiful flowers.

those featuring flowers, birds,fish and antique.

The Old Town of Lijiang, a well-preserved old city
of ethnic minorities with brilliant culture, is a central
town of the Lijiang Autonomous County of the Naxi Ethnic
Minority in Yunnan Province. It’s located on the plateau
which is 2,400 meters (7,874 feet) above the sea level.
The Old Town was firstly built in the late Song Dynasty
and the early Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more
than 800 years. The charming Old Town is now a famous
tourist attraction for its traditional ethnic culture
and customs, inimitable buildings and the wonderful
natural views.
On December 3rd, 1997, the Old Town of Lijiang was
put in the list of the World's Relics by the World Cultural
Heritage Commission of the UNESCO. Around old town,
jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Tiger leaping Gorge, Basha
Wall-painting, Mufu ,Yunshanping, First Bend of the
Yangzi River, Lugu Lake are wonderful historical landscapes
to visit.

Dili is in the northwest of
Yunnan province. Antient city is the capital of Dali
Bai Autonomous Prefecture west of Kunming;Dali is the
historic home of the Bai ethnic group, the most blessed
spot on earth. It was the capital of Nanzhao State .The

in the ancient history. Dali is sub-tropical monsoon
climate with no much difference between 4 reasons. Canshan
mountain’s snow, Er hai lake’s moon, Xiaguang county’s
wind and Shangguang county’s flowers are 4 famous sighting
spots in Dali. March Fair, Benzhu Pray Ceremony,Three

Yuanyang is a small county of
Redriver canton. Yunan has the most spectacular terraces
and you won’t be disappointed after the experience of
Yuanyang .The best time to visit is from March to May
when the paddies are filled with water .In autumn orange
dominates the scenery ,and in summer ,everything is
green .The road going South to Luchun from Yuanyang
,passing through Huangmaoling ,leads to many rice terraces.
Tuhuozhai ,Mengpin, .Shengcun are the best places to
visit terraces. The scenery is gorgeous early morning
or in the dusk..It’s absolute an wonderful picture for
you .
